Things are blooming at Yeshua's Vineyard--in more ways than one. We are seeing progress toward our new addition. The back deck and porch have been taken apart. We're making way for the new bathroom and dining room addition. Thank you, Chuck Tribbett for drawing up our plans. We have a BUILDING PERMIT. A new deck/porch has been added to our private entry at the end of the house. We've been working hard! A special thank you to Cherry & Mike Smith, Bob Prezioso, and Kevin Davis for all the hard work! Thank you, Papaw and Bob, for cutting down trees. THE ROAD HAS BEGUN TO BE OPENED UP! Kenneth and David did an awesome job on the first phase. We're praying for God's provision to continue to come forth to get it all done.

"I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who stay united with me, and I with them, are the ones who bear much fruit; because apart from me you can't do a thing." --Jesus Christ (John 15:5, Complete Jewish Bible)
In this new millennium, God began to speak to Kenny about a retreat center. As he and Kim began to pray about this, the Lord spoke to them both about a place for healing. This is a peaceful harbor, a refuge from the storm. It's a place where you can drop anchor and sink your roots deep into the soil of God's love. You can revel in His presence as you allow Him to heal those innermost places in your heart. Thus was born "Yeshua's Vineyard."

It seems that things have been moving slow this year at Yeshua's Vineyard (2009). But there have been some good things happening. We had a terrific Spring Retreat in May, a fabulous Prayer Retreat in October beginning with a Feast of Tabernacles celebration, and some awesome work days! Check out the pictures below! We hope you'll come be with us in 2010. Check out the Upcoming Happenings in Projects and Events. We have been working on separating Kenny & Kim's living space from the Retreat area in the main building. There's still a little more to be done, but we are making progress. Plans are being drawn up for the dining room addition. The cabin is looking good. The chinking is completed. All that remains to be done is some type of finish around the foundation, cleaning up the floors to finish them, and completing the mantel and faux fireplace. A beautiful rose garden was added beside the front porch in memory of Kim's dad. A roof was put on our storage barn and some repair done to the exterior walls to enable a dry storage area. Plans are ready for a new road into our property when funds are available. We're taking some baby steps toward seeing our vision come to pass, but they are steps nontheless and we will do what we can when we can. We are using what we have so far and it's exciting to see the Lord at work in our lives and in the lives of everyone who visits here.

Spring Retreat--2008 "Connie" and Joann Cohen, and John Hobbs were with us for our retreat. They shared some awesome things with us--exalting Jesus and defeating the enemy.
|
We started off the retreat with a "foot-washing" on Friday night. The Lord really ministered to all of us.

Spirit, soul, and body were ministered to. We had so much fun in every way!

Mike Smith's BBQ chicken was like icing on the cake--scrumptious!
It was a wonderful weekend despite the monsoon on Sunday with water blowing into the tent (which we didn't get any pictures of). We were all blessed by everyone who participated. The fellowship was rich! What a blessing indeed!

Prayer Retreat--October, 2009
On Friday night, we celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles. Charley helped get the campfire going and we ate out under the stars as the sky darkened. Lynn and Jack Joyner provided us with a delicious meal (fabulous!). We had an awesome time celebrating the presence of the Lord with His people. Following the meal, we all went into the cabin where we were wonderously taught about the Jewish tallit (prayer shawl) by Lynn. Wow! How awesome! Then we finished off the night with a time of worship led by Kevin as we continued to experience the presence of the Lord.

We continued to feast on the Lord all day Saturday as we spent much time in prayer. We prayed for KDM, its partners, for the Body of Christ, and for our communities, state, nation, and world. We were especially encouraged as Betsy Young, an intercessor in the Rocky Mount area, came to share a word from the Lord with us. God's timing was so amazing. Just as she came to share, we also had visitors, Chuck and Lucy, from Delaware. Betsy's word especially ministered to Lucy. Sunday morning, we finished our weekend as we again worshiped together and then saw how we are a people chosen "for such a time as this" just as Esther of old.

Spring Retreat--May 14-16, 2010 A Celebration of Healing Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!" Psalm 118:15
|
| When we talk of celebration, the first thing we think of is worship. God is so great and greatly to be praised. We had an awesome time worshiping and praising our God. We truly celebrated Him! And what a fine worship team we had! The team from Burning Heart Fellowship was joined by others from different places. We had Kenny on the keyboard leading the bunch, Kevin on guitar, Kim on guitar, Garrett Honeycutt on the djembe drum, Josh Kalichman on the violin, Marita on the euphonium, and Michelle Brown, Dee Welch, and Sherry Inscoe blending their voices in exuberant praise. Charlie Brown helped us come into a harmonious sound as our sound technician.
